Sunshine award
Hello! I’m very blessed and honoured that Hadorable nominated me for the award. I think the most important thing about this is that someone out there appreciates and is inspired by your daily musings or photography. Here are the rules for the nominated.
THE RULES
1. Include the Sunshine Award icon in your post and/or on your blog
2. Link to the blogger who nominated you
3. Answer 10 questions about yourself
4. Nominate 10 other bloggers to receive the award
5. Link to your nominees and let them know you nominated them
6. Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer
Unfortunately I can’t nominate 10 other bloggers as I don’t actually know a lot of bloggers but I hope those who I do know, will find 10 awesome ones to nominate.
Here are my 10 questions:
1 What is your nickname? Airydreamer. My horoscope is an air sign and I’ve always been dreaming of travel since I was a child, I choose this nickname because I felt it suits me. Other nicknames would be “Apple” because when I was born I (apparently) had an apple shaped head. My love calls me penguin.2 If you describe yourself thru a character from a movie, show, book, or whatever…who will you be? The protagonist of my own movie! haha I don’t really related to any character in a movie or book but when I was much younger I always dreamt about being Ariel the little mermaid. I think a lot of the character influenced how I’m always curious and the need the explore new places.
3 What is your purpose to start a blog? Initially I started it out to be a place for me to write my daily musings. But since I went on a 3 month backpacking trip in europe I used it as a place to channel all the beautiful places I saw, thoughts and feelings when I was there. So now, my blog is mostly travel and slowly I’m included other lifestyle and photography images as well.
4 Cat or dog?
Always dog. This is my doggie Joey, balancing a cupcake on his head with immense self control (and pressure from my sister to stay still)
5 What is your all-time favourite town or city? Why? I love too many towns for too many reasons. I would say Singapore, I used to be so bored and hated living in singapore but I have since learn to love singapore for all its benefits. Its extremely safe and accessible everywhere. I could go rollerblading by the bay and in the next moment marvel at the beautiful city lights. So many cultures and flavours and food! What’s there not to love.
6 What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?
That I had magic.
Check out my pinterest board on Magic
7 What is one of your favourite habits you have?
Capturing beautiful things.
8 Do you think people can control their own destiny?
Most definitely. Not everything is in our control, but for most part, we control the direction of our lives. Every decision we make is a step towards what and where we want. People who lament on their lives are people in denial because even just there, they can stop complaining, get up and do something different about their lives. But most people don’t.
9 What do you think people think of you?
Depends on the people I meet and the environment I am in with them. But I think most people I meet think I’m very crafty, girly in my dressing and sarcasitc to a fault.
10 What is your favourite quote?
“You are the trip I did not take, you are the pearls I could not buy,
you are my blue Italian lake, you are my piece of foreign sky.
You are my Honolulu moon, you are the book I did not write,
you are my heart’s unuttered tune, you are a candle in my night.
You are the flower beneath the snow, in my dark sky a bit of blue,
answering disappointment’s blow with “I am happy! I have you!”
